Hello, I'm Leanne,
A children’s illustrator living in the land of the hobbits, New Zealand, Aotearoa. My home is on the rugged south coast of the North Island, where wild seas spark my imagination and the infamous Wellington wind keeps me on my toes (literally)! I fill my creative cup by being anywhere near the water, whether I’m walking in the rain, swimming, or sitting by the docks with a flask of coffee.
My illustrations are filled with warmth, nostalgia, and a touch of magic. Light and atmosphere are my absolute favourite tools; for me, that’s when a piece truly comes alive. My aim is always for someone to feel the moment in a scene, not just see it.
I work with both self-publishing authors and traditional publishers, to bring picture books and illustrated projects to life. If you have a story that needs thoughtful, creative, and heartfelt visual storytelling, I’d love to hear from you.
The dream? A little home by the coast with my husband and dog, a sky-blue camper for weekend roadies, and a bookshelf brimming with my own illustrated children’s books!
